John Peterkin

My Journey: I have always cared passionately about people and the planet since I was a kid. As a child I always loved playing in nature and planting veg in my little veg plot. I loved to catch butterflies and caterpillars, frogs and newts but I never knowingly hurt them! As I grew up two events challenged me profoundly: my parents' divorce, and coming to terms with being gay. After studying for a degree in law and a diploma in human resource management I started to long for a deeper, personal and more meaningful connection within myself and with others! I was guided to a group of liberal gay Christians who helped nurture my early spiritual longings.

After moving to London I started to attend a spiritual centre called Kairos in Soho then to the Helios Centre. A place of deep spiritual work …the guiding light of the centre was Akenhaten; here I was introduced to an Osho three week meditation called ‘The mystic Rose'. This was totally transformational for me; I connected to a place of Bliss within me for the first time, and felt a kinship with a group of people that I had longed for but had never experienced before. Here I was introduced to Reiki for the first time. Reiki and Indian head massage then formed my journey; I was initiated into Usui Reiki 1&2 and then a friend offered me a gift of training with the Tera Mai Reiki/Seichem system to become a master/teacher.

I worked as a healer and then teacher when I moved to Cornwall . My life journey brought me many challenges and growth opportunities in this time. I travelled alone to Japan and Oz then later I visited the 9/11 site to channel Light into the site; then I flew to the Bahamas to swim for a week with wild dolphins. Wow! The next big breakthrough for me was meeting Cherry and Bruce who channelled Sanat Kumara and the principles of Ascension …I did various meditations with them and others over the next two years….never before had I felt such energies. Literally sometimes my body felt full of tingly energy for a day or two after. I still continued my Reiki work from two centres in Penzance . I recall two facilitators who I found transformative – Dee Banton who works with sound and energy, and a Shaman called Windrose both of whom I worked with.

Next I met a wonderful fella who I partnered for three years; the relationship was transformative for me on many levels and I helped him transform the energies and culture of the nursing home we both ran. During this time my wonderful friends Felicity and Kim introduced me to the Crystal Skulls! My first Skull which I am Guardian of is called Horus…then he was joined over the next year by six others, two of whom are called Maat and Thut . Over the last year I have been increasingly connecting to Glastonbury and since my amicable split with my partner I live in south Wales . At both places I am connecting to some wonderful souls.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those souls who have touched my life journey ….I would particularly like to thank my Mum, Martin my Dad, Sister, Gran and Granddad, Nanna, Auntie and Uncle. Also my friends Ray and John, Paul, Martyn, Pascale, Anna, Felicity, Kim, Dave, Gwen, Cherry, and my three Reiki teachers Jahni, Delphiris and Terri.
